Attitude
Learn from the ex-Microsoft Indian employee
One of the toughest things about business is decision-making. Most times, you just have to put your emotions aside, to decide and act.
I am pretty sure it was difficult for Microsoft to lay off 10,000 employees, but they had to adjust to the uncertain and changing landscape in the industry.
Besides, the goal is to make profits while building quality products. The focus today is not on them but on one of the employees, Prashant Kamani.
Prashant Kamani was fired alongside 9999 people, but, he made headlines because of the gratitude note he dropped on LinkedIn.
He was laid off after working at Microsoft for 20 years. Here's the beautiful thing he has that you should have too as an Entrepreneur.
That is attitude.
Dropping a public grateful note is the last thing you should expect from an ex-employee.
While he looks forward to getting a job, he still acknowledged the fact that he had a beautiful time at Microsoft.
You can’t google about Microsoft's recent layoffs without seeing one or two articles about Prashant Kamani. I am pretty sure he didn’t expect that to happen.
The right attitude especially in times like this pays off. Being grateful is very important. There's always something good about something.
From his note, you would find out he had a right attitude to work. He developed relationships with co-workers, etc. Relationships are lifetime investments.
Also, he worked on projects and grew his skill sets.
Attitude is everything.
